4-Year, Need-Blind Tuition Assistance
Founding Families Benefit Program
Whittle School & Studios DC is pleased to announce the launch of a new benefit program. This Founding Families Benefit program is a 4-year, need-blind tuition assistance program designed to ease the financial burdens that often accompany maintaining a private school education during uncontrollable events such as the pandemic.
Beginning in fall 2021, and for four full years thereafter, we are offering a blanket discount on full tuition for all grades.
The discounts will be as follows:
2021-2022: 40% off of full tuition
2022-2023: 30% off of full tuition
Equaling a $12,741 discount in PK3, PK4, & K
Equaling a $14,881.80 discount in GR 1-12
Equaling a $21,270.60 discount for 5-Day Boarding
Equaling a $22,512.90 discount for 7-Day Boarding
2023-2024: 20% off of full tuition
Equaling an $8,494 discount in PK3, PK4, & K
Equaling a $9,921.20 discount in GR 1-12
Equaling a $14,180.40 discount for 5-Day Boarding
Equaling a $15,008.60 discount for 7-Day Boarding
2024-2025: 10% off of Full tuition
Equaling an $4,247 discount in PK3, PK4, & K
Equaling a $4,960.60 discount in GR 1-12
Equaling a $7,090.20 discount for 5-Day Boarding
Equaling a $7,504.30 discount for 7-Day Boarding
2025-2026: tuition returns to full Rates*
Tuition reverts to full tuition at $42,470 in PK3, PK4, & K
Tuition reverts to full tuition at $49,606 in GR 1-12
Tuition reverts to full tuition at $70,902 for 5-Day Boarding
Tuition reverts to full tuition at $75,043 for 7-Day Boarding
*Families receiving the Founding Family Benefit may apply for need-based financial aid for the 2025-26 academic (year five), but such aid is subject to availability of resources and cannot be guaranteed.

Tuition
A Whittle School & Studios education is a long-term investment in a child’s future as a global citizen. Tuition rates are as follows.
Founding FamilIES BENEFIT PROGRAM Tuition Rates
All families who enroll will automatically qualify for and be opted in to our Founding Family Benefit Program. We have frozen our tuition at the 2020-2021 rates for the next four years and have calculated the discounts based on the frozen rates. This program offers 4-year, need-blind tuition assistance. The tuition rates for this program are as follows:

Additional Fees
Annual Day Lunch Fee:
This is a required day student fee. It is billed and payable in accordance with the payment plan selected.
Pre-K 3, Pre-K 4, and Kindergarten: $1,000
Grades 1 - 10: $1,200
Incidental Charges:
Families may incur various school-related charges over the course of the school year for items such as Studios courses, a laptop computer, weekend activities, laundry (boarding-only), athletic uniforms, and cafe purchases. Any incidental expenses are billed monthly regardless of the tuition payment plan selected. Expenses will vary from student to student at an estimated cost of $2,000 annually.
A distinguishing characteristic of a Whittle School & Studios education is the absence of expected donations more typical at other independent schools.
