Director of Safety & Security
Edward W. Reinhold
Ed Reinhold joined the Whittle team on July 1, 2019 as the Director of Safety and Security. Prior to joining Whittle, Ed served 31 years as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). His last assignment was as the Deputy Assistant Director (DAD) of the Critical Incident Response Group. In his capacity as DAD, he oversaw the FBI’s response to global incidents managing an annual budget in excess of $160M. Ed also served as the Special Agent in Charge, Knoxville, TN; Section Chief, Information Management Division, FBIHQ; Assistant Special Agent in Charge, Omaha, NE; Supervisory Senior Resident Agent, Augusta, GA.; Supervisory Special Agent, Criminal Justice Services Division, FBIHQ; and Special Agent, Las Cruces, NM. Prior to his tenure with the FBI, Ed served six years in the United States Marine Corps. Ed is married to the former Mary Clingan, with a daughter and two grandchildren.
